Sunday, Sept. 20, 2015 Recap – Bib Fortuna Green Classic Art 2, Boushh Smugger’s Den Exclusive, Topps Choice Han Solo, Topps Classic Captain Phasma, Another R2 Modernography, Final Cards for ESB Illustrated

What a depressing day for me pulling. My pack luck has ended. Hopefully, this dry spell doesn’t last as long as my last one which was about 2 weeks. On the plus side I did pick up these cool officially licensed Imperial Trooper dog tags (I added the silencers).

On to today’s drops.

Another early morning drop for Classic Art 2. Today was the Green variant of Bib Fortuna.

A Smuggler’s Den Exclusive variant of Leia as Boushh. Numbers for this one back up over 1k. For those keeping score, the most rare Den variant so far is still Varactyl.

Today’s Topps’ Choice, Han Solo, is a strange one considering the last few have been complete mysteries. I’m not sure I would consider Han an “under-appreciated” character but having a few strong characters probably helps move packs.

A new Topps’ Classic card dropped today as well, Captain Phasma. I had less luck today than a couple days ago and pulled zero Red or Yellow variants. I did pull about 15 Blue variants this time though and I managed to get a couple Red BB-8 that were left over from last drop. Amazingly, Red BB-8s are still available.

The next Modernography card is another R2-D2 inspired design. The design of this one is a sharp departure from the others. It looks like it would feel more at home with the Street Art set than here. It’s also the second landscape oriented design of the set.

Finally, the last batch of ESB – Illustrated inserts: Blue, Green and Red, were released. And yes, the mix up with the Reds was fixed. They’re now showing 11-15 as being released instead of 16-20. Checklist has been updated.
