Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 Recap – Collegiate Jedi, ESB Illustrated Series 3, Green Lando Classic Art, Fan’s Choice Week 29 – Bossk, Topps Classic Rey, Join the Rebellion Modernography

I’m not sure if I missed it yesterday but sometime after Yavin dropped yesterday and Series 3 ESB Illustrated dropped today there was a new Collegiate pack drop, Jedi 83.

The third series of Empire Strikes Back – Illustrated (#51-75)  Steel cards dropped today, as well as Blue and Green #51-55. Buying a large credit pack today only will also get you Red #51-55. The story so far, Dagobah and Bespin.

Today’s Green Lando in Disguise completes the 10th insert parallel for the Classic Art 2 set. 4 more parallel groups to go for the first Award card.

Today’s Fan Choice featured the Bounty Hunters. The winner was Bossk. This is also the penultimate card in Wave 3 and the Marathon. If you couldn’t find the Fan’s Choice checklist before today, it’s because it was inexplicably left out. Apologies, it’s there now.

There was a new Topps Classic drop today with the pack cover girl, Rey. Still a very hot set. Even Blue variants trade much higher than their 7700 card count would suggest.

The next Modernography features a silhouette of Leia behind a “Join the Rebellion” message. This set has really been all over the place as far as content and quality. Only 2 more insert variant sets to go.

The Card Trader Illustrated packs continue to drop, the Gray variant is already up to 281, while Blue and Green are in the 80 range and Pink is at 34. Red is only at 3 and it sells out tomorrow with the next insert arrival.

Finally, an update to the Community Chase, at about the 1/2 way mark (24 hours) the count was at 421,391. I would still be really surprised though if 1,000,000 points wasn’t hit by the deadline Thursday.
